Grace Lee McClure Smith, from Madison County, Alabama, graduated from Hazel Green High School on Wednesday. Smith dropped out of high school at the age of 16 in 1942. WAAY31 reported that this was so her husband could serve in World War II Smith later worked as a bus driver for the Madison County School system for 30 years and still remembers a lot of the people she drove to and from school....

Amanda Nicole Martinez, 31, was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily injury following the incident at Sol De Jalisco, in Temple, on November 7. Martinez is alleged to have gotten into a verbal altercation with a staff member during a complaint about the soup she had purchased. She claimed the soup was too hot and had caused the plastic lid on top to melt, according to KWTX10. During the altercation about the food, Martinez is alleged to have picked up soup and thrown it at the female employee’s face....

Police were called to the couples’ home while the boyfriend was trying to move out. After they arrived, the woman reportedly become “irate and uncooperative,” with police arresting her on a misdemeanor charge of obstructing official business after she refused to listen to police orders and made the threat to throw the Xbox. Besides threatening to throw an Xbox at her “soon-to-be-ex-boyfriend,” the woman also hid the games for the system....

Officials put the plea out for information via a statewide broadcaster on Thursday night after the incident at 9 p.m. on August 26, and followed up with a tweet accounting the incident. “At approximately 9:00pm last night, August 26, 2020, Cisco Police responded to a call of a female who had been seriously injured near the Flying J/Denny’s on IH20 in Cisco,” read the post.
